Alongside my classroom teaching, I have taught privately for many years and have helped hundreds of students to improve their understanding of mathematics and, as a result, their confidence, grades and employability.
By using Skype, I am able to communicate directly with my students, ask them questions and answer any of theirs. This all happens live and in real time so it’s really no different to the conversation we would be having if we were in the same room.
In a face-to-face lesson we would be writing on pieces of paper whereas in an online lesson, the pieces of paper are on our computer screens!

Linear Inequalities: Before attempting to sketch the region described by the inequalities, we should consider the straight line each inequality relates to and whether we should be above or below or to the left or right of this line. This type of question is also good practice for recognising and sketching straight line graphs. A Level maths students taking the Decision Maths module will use this technique again when they cover Linear Programming.
